Anyone visiting our busy market town would be well advised to seek out the RSPCA shop in the High Street and discover what we have to offer.

There are bargains for everyone here – something the local residents have found out for themselves since we opened. They appreciate the large variety of goods in stock and know that, if they call in at just the right time, they can spot designer labels, interesting items of bric-a-brac, an impressive selection of books – old and new – and even three piece suites and items of furniture. We are able to offer such variety because we can organize free local collection and delivery of large goods, thanks to the good services of one of our volunteers (we can boast our very own “white-van man”).

If you are into Amateur Dramatics or need an outfit for a fancy dress party, we may have just the thing as we always try and keep a special section for such occasions.

Our regular customers can confirm that we take care with the lay-out of the shop. They can find their way around easily and, if any help is needed, there is always a friendly member of staff on hand. We make sure that no-one is pressured to buy – everyone is free to browse for as long as they like.

Children are always welcome, and for pets owners there is a large selection of recommended quality pet foods on sale.

We take pride in our window display and our special seasonal themes - which always attracts the attention of passers-by and, hopefully, tempts them to look around inside.

Apart from Christmas and Easter, we like to celebrate Halloween, St Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day etc.

You can be sure that all donations are carefully scrutinized before they are displayed in the shop and any items we consider below our high standards are discarded.

We know our shop is a success. Our customers are happy and our volunteers enjoy their work here, but don’t just take our word for it – come and see for yourself.
