Leave a gift in your will
Having an up to date Will is important to ensure your wishes are carried out and those you love are provided for. It is also a chance to support those causes that mean something special to you and help them continue their work.
There is a belief that it is only the rich and famous that leave money to charities after their passing, but this is not at all true! As a separate branch of the National RSPCA, we rely heavily on the donations and legacies left to us by local people, however big or small the amount. Without legacies, the branch would not be able to help as many animals as it does and we always have a list of animals waiting to come into our care!
To ensure that your kind donation comes directly to the branch, it must be clearly stated that you wish to leave the amount to The Norwich & Mid Norfolk Branch, charity No' 206629. If this is not clear, it will be shared with other branches or the National RSPCA. Alternatively you can complete a codicil form which is a document that is used when changes are being made to an existing will.
This document is used in cases where someone does not want to completely replace their will, but they want to amend it to make relevant changes. The codicil can change one aspect of the will or many different things. The codicil to a will is an important legal document that requires accuracy and an understanding of will procedures. Legal counsel is recommended when completing a codicil to a will, as it can be a lengthy document that requires an understanding of the laws that apply to wills. For further information please see
